Young Adults

The Young Adults Ministry at Westside Baptist Church is comprised of young adults ages 25 to 44.  Whether you're nearlywed, newlywed, married with children, single, single again or a single parent, we have a place for you. Our purpose is wrapped around our churches vision statement to worship God and His son Jesus, walk with them, and witness to others. There are many opportunities to get connected with other young adults in our community of believers. The connection begins by joining one of our Sunday morning small groups. It expands as you build relationships with other believers inside and outside the church and learn how to be on mission for God. So join us and find out how you can live a life that has purpose, meaning and eternal rewards.

Younger married adults: in the book of Genesis God's Word tells us that is not good for man to be alone and that a man is to be joined to his wife and the two of them shall become one flesh. We believe that the Christian marriage relationship is the greatest experience in which believers can live their lives. Two people join together as one under God's care and Christ's leadership. It is in this context that marriage works best. In the younger marrieds Ministry, you'll learn how to make your marriage vibrant, exciting, loving and full of passion -- both for the Lord and for your spouse. Through relevant Bible study and life experiences you will get the help you need to be the best husband, wife, and parent.  Check out some of the opportunities on this page designed for you -- the younger married couple -- so you can get started in your journey of being a part of this vibrant Ministry.

Sunday school and small groups: our small groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9.  These groups help you to connect with others and build relationships that are meaningful and that will last. You will learn and grow in your walk with Christ as you connect with other married couples who are also seeking to live a life that is pleasing to God. You will also experience Fellowship in these groups through home Bible studies, parties, community outreach events and many other opportunities just hang out with other younger married couples.  Men's and women's groups are available also.

Wednesday night discipleship courses: these midweek discipleship courses are designed to enhance your walk with Christ with a wide range of topics for younger adults. These classes start at 7 p.m. Wednesday nights and are preceded by our wonderful Wednesday night supper.

Couples Connection: it all starts with a time of mingling with other couples over a cup of coffee and refreshments. We will engage in exciting music and finish the evening with exclusive, relevant, interactive discussions on issues that young married couple face today. Geared to encourage, inspire and challenge. There is no cover charge, this event is free. Take advantage of this opportunity to give your marriage the foundation it needs to be strong! Single Adult Ministry: If you're single and are looking to make the most of your life where God has you right now, then you need to get connected to our single adult Ministry. We have small groups available for every one. Whether you're just finishing college and starting your career, a career professional, single mom, single dad, or have never been married, we have a place for you. Our small groups for singles meet at 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

The E.D.G.E.: The Edge (Every Day Giving Everything) is a singles group between the ages of 20 - 39 that meet the first Friday of each month at 7 pm in The Bridge. Together we enjoy music, food and fellowship followed by a relevant study from God's Word. There are many opportunities to meet and hang out with other singles.  Whether it's a bowling night, a weekend camping trip, Saturday at the zoo or our annual younger singles Memorial Day weekend event, you will find ways to connect with other singles who also desire to bring glory to God as a single adult.
