FAITH Evangelism![]() F.A.I.T.H. training is designed to disciple our members to effectively share the gospel and minister through Sunday School relationships; equip you to clearly share the Gospel with anyone at anytime; and to strengthen and build our Sunday School. Our first goal is accomplished as Learners develop a clear understanding of the F.A.I.T.H. Visit Outline. The second goal is accomplished as Teams are formed from within the same Sunday School class, department, or division. Teams visit prospects for their class and department. They try to enroll those prospects who are not involved in any church's Bible study and who agree to be enrolled. Teams also minister to their class members. INTERESTED? CURIOUS? WANT MORE INFORMATION? We're having an Informational Banquet, Tuesday, February 21st. Call the Church Office at 904-781-0618 for more information. Why?The Bible is clear about our responsibility to be a disciple of Christ and His witness. The following verses are just a few indicating this all-important command: Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 1:17; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:47–48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Acts 8:4. In the New Testament witness means being a verbal witness, one person telling another the Good News of the Gospel. In F.A.I.T.H. Training, which we have based on 2 Timothy 2:1–2, we can multiply ourselves as disciple-makers and active witnesses. The good news of salvation which we have received, we are to pass on to others and equip them to pass it on as well. F.A.I.T.H. helps us multiply our witness. Why do we have F.A.I.T.H. training? Because the Bible commands us to do what F.A.I.T.H. provides. What? What Benefits Do We Receive?
When? The Fall 2011 semester of FAITH meets on Mondays at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall beginning August 22. If you would like more information on FAITH, please contact Rick Miracle at 904-781-0618 or rick@wbcjax.com. How?Each week on Monday we will meet at the church for classroom training. In Teaching Time, we use F.A.I.T.H. resources to learn how to make ministry and evangelistic visits. You will be on a three-person team representing your Sunday School class or department. After the class session each week, we will visit prospects for our class. The Team Leader will present the Gospel to those who need and express interest in hearing, and you watch and listen to what we call the F.A.I.T.H. Visit Outline. We also make ministry visits to our class members as the need arises. We usually visit for about an hour and 15 minutes. We then return to the church for what we call Celebration Time. This is when teams report the results of their visits. During the week, at your own time and pace, you will have Home Study Assignments to supplement what you are learning in the classroom and from visits. This personal time will help you journal your experience and focus on ways God is helping you in your journey of faith. Who?This question brings us back to YOU. How will YOU commit to serving God through this exciting Sunday School discipleship strategy?
