You will find many opportunities for involvement in our Music Ministry and I personally invite you to become involved in one or more of them. In order to grow in Christ, it is important to find your place of ministry and service. If you have any questions or would like to be involved in any of these ministries, please call the Music Office at #781-0618. It is our desire to minister to you and with you as we share the hope and life Jesus alone can bring. Come join us as we lead the way in thanksgiving, praise and worship of the King.

Choral Music

Celebration Choir
Anthony Poole - Director
Open to adults ages 18 and older. No audition is required. Rehearses Wednesday
evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room. Sings every Sunday morning
and night. Presents the Jacksonville Christmas Celebration, an annual
evangelistic outreach of the Music and Media Ministries, and other
seasonal and non-seasonal programs throughout the year.
Adult Soloists, Ensembles, Praise Teams
Selected by audition. Must be an active member of the Music or Media Ministry.
Audition appointments made in the Music Office.
Student Choir
Dan Mullis and Eva Douglas - Directors
Student Choir is open to all students in grades 6 - 12. No audition is required. Rehearses each Sunday evening at 5:15 in the choir room. This group sings throughout the year and presents at least one musical per year.
Children’s Choirs
Christy Sepeda, Coordinator
Preschool and Graded choirs - 3 years old through 5th Grade. First through Fifth grade meet on Sundays at 5:15 PM in the Annex Bldg. (FLC). Three years old through 5K meet in the Percy Ray Building at the same time.
Choirs are scheduled throughout the year and the graded choirs present at least one musical.
Instrumental Music
“Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to Him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.”

Celebration Orchestra

Open to all high school sophomores or older, and adults, after meeting with the Minister of Music or the Orchestra Director. Rehearsals Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Orchestra rehearsal room. Plays every Sunday morning and night. Participates in the Jacksonville Christmas Celebration and other seasonal and non-seasonal programs throughout the year.
Praise Bands
Various Directors
Open to all youth and adults, after meeting with the Minister of Music or director of the praise band.
Rehearsal times vary. Supports numerous services at Westside Baptist.
