- to anyone 6th grade-Adult
- anyone with at least one year of experience on their instrument
- those with knowledge of basic fingerings and technique is encouraged but not required
- at home practice and private lessons are strongly encouraged for musical development
This is always a vibrant and exciting ministry as the group often looks a little different each semester. We meet for a Fall and a Spring term. Each semester is about 12 weeks. Fall term is usually late August through mid November. Spring term will pick up in mid January through May. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 6:45 in the Instrumental Rehearsal Room. The group typically plays 1-2 times a semester in our evening worship services.
The curriculum we seek to teach covers everything from basic scales, theory, ear training to understanding the Biblical basis for Instrumental Music in worship. This helps to build a strong foundation in music and ministry. From University Orchestra other opportunities become available within the Instrumental Music Ministries.
